But, apparently, not us. No, instead of studying or doing homework, we do our make up and take pictures.

Do you ever just realize things?

I did today.

I realized, I have so much to be thankful for. I'm at a GORGEOUS campus, have enough money to get by, have wonderful friends, I don't have to worry about where I'll be sleeping tonight... Those sorts of things, and what do I do? I take them for granted.

I guess this is my way of coming out and saying, sometimes I'm selfish...Really selfish.
This is my time to say, I need to change that.

We're taking a slightly serious step.

What is beauty? Is it blonde hair, a big chest, a tiny waist? Is it curves, or brown hair? Is it being able to see a girl's ribs? Clearly stated... Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. But isn't beauty within what it's really about?
I got into a conversation with my roommate last night about society.
Society makes girls and women believe that have to look, dress, and act a certain way.
One big issue society has made girls face is eating disorders. Most girls today believe they have to be a size 0 and weigh no more than 100 pounds, but let's face it. Bones protruding out of your body in a sickly way are NOT beautiful.


I think she's beautiful and she even has curves.

There are girls that are naturally skinny that feel the same way a heavier girls do. They eat and eat but can never gain weight.
But girls that are a healthy weight but believe they need to be skinnier? No. Society is failing us.

And the saddest part? We can't fix society until we help ourselves fix how we think.

Tyler and Cody

This day started off entertaining. We pulled up next to them to see Tyler practically beating Cody up.
Lovely.
They also had to put up with my...Lovely assistant. AKA, my boyfriend. Who's quite possibly insane.


Me: "Act like you love each other!" Cody: "We can't do that."

2:00 AM Boredom.

Alright, so my dog that I've had for about 8.5 years, decided "Hey, I'mma get canine liver disease." Well, if you don't know what that is...It's pretty much just liver failure. Not cool right? WELLL. The vet didn't give her long to live. Said she wouldn't be in pain until the time came. So before anyone calls PETA on me, we had already decided if she started to feel the pain from it, we'd put her down. Well she randomly started eating again, and barking, moving around a lot, can almost jump back up on the couch without help. I've tried to do some research on it, but so far, I've come up blank. She's super crazy I guess. We think she's getting better. At least we hope so. She's pretty young for her breed. ...I think. Anyways, if you're the praying kind, it would be fantastic if you'd keep our family and dog in your prayers. My dad is taking it pretty hard considering I'm about to go off to college.

Once Upon A Time...

Welp, this happens to be my first blog.

Let's see who all reads it.

There is honestly no real reason to this first one. I haven't taken many pictures lately, I might add one or two. Just so you get to know me more(: Who really knows? I'll just kinda give a brief description of me.

I draw, I paint, I sing (but only in the shower of course.), I have a twin (;, I'm going to college in the fall [Woop!], I can crochet hats thanks to my lovely boyfriend, I'm working on more little crafts, I'm currently listen to Elvis...Random.

People call me a modern day hippie, without the weed of course. I'm a Christian, and darn proud of it. I actually go to a biker church. Laugh if you want. I love those people(:
